TDI-Brooks’ R/V GEOEXPLORER (GX) just completed a surface geochemical exploration (SGE) coring program offshore Mozambique and is on its way to Indonesia .  The GX will be conducting a 1,500 core SGE and 250-site heat flow program for TGS-NOPEC, in ten (10) frontier basins offshore Indonesia .  This program will occupy the GX through the 1st quarter of 2008, although we do have the capability to conduct some other few week-long programs with the GX in Indonesia , Malaysia and nearby surrounding areas during this period.  We also have access to other vessels for field work out of Jakarta .
TDI-Brooks’ R/V GYRE remains working in Brazil on a contract with Petrobras.  Through our local office in Brazil , GSI-Brooks, we have the ability to conduct offshore projects in Brazil .
TDI-Brooks’ R/V JW POWELL just completed a several month deployment inAngola and is currently conducting various HR site and hazard surveys, environmental baseline surveys ( EBS ), and geotechnical coring projects in Nigeria .  TDI-Brooks has a local office in Port Harcourt, TDI-Brooks Nigeria Ltd., that supports our Nigerian operations.  The POWELL has a few unique capabilities not available on the GX and GYRE including Jumbo Piston Coring (60-70-ft, 4-inch ID, 6,000-lb coring). The POWELL is also outfitted with a Kongsberg EM-1002 hull-mountedmultibeam system. The POWELL will continue to work on the spot market in West Africa (mainly in the Angola to Nigeria corridor) through the 2nd quarter.
TDI-Brooks has the R/V BROOKS McCALL on long-term charter in the Gulf of Mexico.  It is outfitted as a multiuse, oceanographic research vessel.   It has Jumbo Piston Coring as well as regular piston and box coring capabilities for geotechnical projects in the Gulf.  It can also be used for site and hazard survey work, metocean and oceanographic studies in the Gulf/Caribbean/Northern South America areas.   It is currently working the spot market in the Gulf of Mexico .
TDI-Brooks recently conducted an EBS and geotechnical coring cruise offshore Libya using the Turkish research vessel, R/V PIRI REIS out of Izmir , Turkey .  This vessel is generally available to TDI-Brooks for projects in the eastern Mediterranean Sea .
TDI-Brooks is mobilizing the M/V RAMEY TIDE,a local workboat, in Mumbai , India , in mid-March for a 500-core SGE program for Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. ( ONGC ) offshore NW India. This 2-month project will be conducted in the mid-March to mid-May time period.
In June, TDI-Brooks’ project team will be conducting a month long ROV cruise at deep-water seep and hardground sites in the Gulf of Mexico for its Minerals Management Service ( MMS ) funded project entitled “Investigations of Chemosynthetic Communities on theLower Continental Slope of the Gulf of Mexico” (CHEMO-III project for short).  The project involves the NOAA ship the R/V RON BROWNand the JASON-II ROV from Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute (WHOI).
CHEMOIII Site

All the TDI-Brooks’ vessels are outfitted for hazard and bathymetry, metocean and environmental work in addition to coring (geotechnical and geochemical) and heat flow acquisition.

Please let me know if TDI-Brooks can provide you any additional information on any of your survey or vessel needs in these areas.
